We wanted to share our accreditations, and what they mean for the quality and standard of our products.

We are delighted to announce that we have achieved SALSA accreditation for the third year running!

What is SALSA?

SALSA (Safe and Local Supplier Approval) is a recognised certification within the pet industry that has been developed specifically for food manufacturers to demonstrate that the level of food safety within their business is of a high standard.

Approval certification is only given to food manufacturers who can demonstrate that they are able to produce safe and legal food, and are committed to continually meeting the high standards of the SALSA requirements.

Why is this important?

At The Innocent Pet, our pets' wellbeing is at the heart of what we do. Each of our treats are made with love and care, and we take pride in the products we make here in our Yorkshire factory. 

As a small, family owned business, SALSA certification means that we can show our high quality hygiene management and quality control onsite through a recognised accreditation. 

As manufacturers, it is important that we are able to demonstrate that we are consistently providing food safety assurance for our customers and suppliers through best practice and implemented controls.

This means that as our customers, you know the delicious treats you give your pets are paw-fect, in every way!
