Here at The Innocent Hound, we are constantly looking for ways to improve our impact on the environment, whilst making sure we maintain the same high standard of products that your pets adore.
Our Ingredients
We source all the ingredients ourselves using approved suppliers and strive for ethical and sustainable produce. Our meat is farmed in Britain which has some of the highest farming and animal welfare standards in the world. The farms we source from are Red Tractor accredited, and our fish is sourced from sustainable suppliers. We only use human-grade fresh meat, including free-range, wild and organic, with not an ounce of meat meal on site. We have full traceability which is vital for food safety.
Sourcing the best ingredients is incredibly important to us as without these, it is impossible to produce such fine quality products.
Recyclable Packaging
It has been our goal to make all of our packaging 100% recyclable, and we are delighted to say that we are just about there! We are pleased that all of our The Innocent Hound packaging is now recyclable. It won't stop here - as packaging technology moves on, then so will we.
A Greener & Cleaner Factory
All of The Innocent Hound's food and treats are made in our purpose built, human-grade factory which is powered by 100% renewable energy sources. We don't use any fossil fuels.
We have taken steps to ensure our carbon footprint is minimised within the factory too. For example, we have opted to use electric powered forklifts to reduce our carbon emissions. We send zero to landfill and any paper and cardboard in recycled.
Zero Waste - To The Rescues instead!
Our business was inspired by our rescue dog, Bongo, and ever since we launched we have been committed to supporting rescues and animal charities.
We have a zero-waste treat policy which has allowed us to send over 1,000kg of treats to animal rescues and charities around the UK in the last year - that's a lot of waggy tails!
