5 Things You Should Know About The Innocent Hound

We've put together a list of the top 5 things you should know about The Innocent Hound, from the reason we launched in 2013, to our future sustainability efforts. 

1. The inspiration behind the business

The Innocent Hound story began with four hairy legs.  Our rescue lurcher, Bongo, was the inspiration behind the business and it is thanks to him that we're producing such top-notch products for the nations innocent hounds.  Hooray for Bongo!

2. All of our foods are handcrafted by us 

You may be surprised to hear this, but not many pet brands can say they make their own products.  Our air-dried foods and treats are handcrafted by us here in Yorkshire, in our human-grade factory - we can tell you exactly how they're made and what goes in to them. 

3. Using British meat - Supporting British farming 

We source all our ingredients from approved suppliers, and we use British meat that includes wild, free-range and organic produce. We use Red Tractor approved farms, which have some of the highest animal welfare standards in the world. 

4. We are always looking for ways to improve our environmental impact 

Our factory is powered by 100% sustainable energy sources and we send zero to landfill.  It has been our goal to make all of our packaging 100% recyclable, and we are happy to say we're nearly there! 

5. We have a zero-waste treat policy
