The Buzz about 85% Air-Dried Complete Food
Our From the British Countryside recipes are abuzz with compliments since this higher single-protein recipe joined our collection last year. And it’s easy to see why… each one brings a taste of the countryside to your dog’s bowl.
From the coast, to the woodland, to the meadow, the ingredients are inspired by the very environments your Innocent Hounds love to explore.
The golden thread between all three recipes? A touch of raw British honey. Not only does it add a hint of sweetness, but bees are a vital part of the countryside, pollinating flowers and supporting ecosystems. Seeing them buzzing around is important to us, and it felt only right to celebrate them in our recipes too.
Why we add raw honey
We use raw British honey for more than just its countryside connection. It’s a natural ingredient that supports dogs’ wellbeing too. Here are some of the reasons we include it in our recipes:
-
Energy boost: Raw honey provides a quick, easily digestible source of natural energy, making it an excellent addition for active or working dogs.
-
Supports digestion: It contains natural enzymes and acts as a prebiotic, helping to support gut flora and healthy digestion.
-
Nutrient rich: It’s packed with naturally occurring vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, which helps support overall wellbeing.
All in all, the addition of raw honey helps support dogs in staying happy and healthy.
Giving back to the countryside
We don’t just want to celebrate the honey in our recipe; we want to support our buzzing friends too. To help us give back to the countryside, every order from our From the British Countryside collection comes with a box of wildflower seedballs. *
Inside the box you’ll find six bee-friendly wildflower seedballs, each with around 30 seeds, including: Common Toadflax, Cornflower, Cowslip, Meadow Cranesbill, Musk Mallow, Oxeye Daisy, and Red Campion.
No green fingers? No problem. Simply pop a seedball on soil or compost, water it, and watch it grow. Whether you have a sunny patch in the garden or a small pot (3-5 seedballs per pot is plenty), spring and autumn are the best times to plant. The mix of annuals and perennials will reward your patience with beautiful blooms that support local biodiversity.
Safety note: If you have dogs, children, or pets prone to eating things they shouldn’t, make sure the seedballs are planted safely out of reach.
We’d love to see your seedballs in bloom! Tag us on social media @theinnocenthound and share your progress.
