Two words every dog owner dreads: flea season. These relentless, flightless insects can cause discomfort and even serious health issues for our beloved pets. At The Innocent Hound, we offer a solution: Flea Repellent. This product deters fleas and ticks, safeguarding your furry friend effectively.

How does Flea Repellent work?

Our Flea Repellent treats are crafted with neem and lemon balm, ingredients that naturally repel pests. These scents, despised by fleas and ticks, help your dog build a defence from the inside out. Remarkably, even your dog’s waste will carry these properties, discouraging pests further.

Think of Flea Repellent as a canine version of a citronella candle, which keeps flies away from your garden party. By applying this science to our treats, we’ve made pest control simple as feeding your dog a snack.

Flavoursome and functional

Why compromise on taste when protecting your dog from fleas? Our Flea Repellent treats are made in our Yorkshire factory using a bespoke air-drying process that preserves the nutrients. We make it just like we do our other treats and dog food!

This single-protein, grain-free recipe features 60% British beef, delivering flavour and functionality. Unlike bitter pills, these meaty snacks are eagerly devoured. Feed two treats per 10kg of your dog’s weight daily, and maintain a consistent routine for maximum protection.

When is flea season in the UK?

Fleas aren’t just a seasonal problem. They are troublesome all year round with no concept of taking time off. Subsequently, it’s worth protecting your pet from these pests regardless of the time of year. These pests multiply in the warmer months and can be much more commonplace in spring and summer.

Flea Repellent is a pre-emptive treatment

It’s worth noting that the Flea Repellent product is a pre-emptive dog flea treatment. If your dog already has dog flea bites or other symptoms, it is best to use traditional medicine or seek advice from your vet regarding dog flea treatment.

Best dog flea treatment: Not getting them!

What dog flea treatment is best? Maintaining canine hygiene and not having to google: ‘What to do if your dog has fleas?’. In addition to feeding them some of our Flea Repellent from our acceptable health range, there are a few basic ways to prevent fleas.

•    Washing dog bedding on a frequent schedule.
•    Maintaining a clean home.
•    Checking and washing dogs after rural walks.
•    Limiting contact with unknown dogs.
