With The Great British Bake off in full swing, we wanted to share a step-by-step guide on how you can bake your four-legged friend their very own cake using our ready-made mix!
Our dog-friendly cake mix is super easy, so you don't need to be a professional with The Innocent Hound!
Made with simple ingredients, our grain-free meaty cake is bound to be a hit with your furry friends. Using our easy-to-follow steps below, you'll be on your way to winning that star baker title in no time.
Step one:
Set your oven to 190 degrees and line either a 6-inch cake tin or prepare cupcake cases if you prefer to make several smaller cakes.
Step two:
Empty both of the pouches into your mixing bowl.
Step three:
Add two eggs and 40ml of water into the mixing bowl and stir so it all mixes together.
Step four:
Move the mix from your bowl into your cake tin or cupcake cases, making sure to not spill any over the edges.
Step five:
Bake in the centre of the pre-heated oven for 20-25 minutes (between 10-15 minutes for cupcakes.)
Step six:
This step is for hounds only; time to lick the bowl clean!
Step seven:
Leave the cake to cool for a while before decorating with your hounds' favourite toppings. We like to use chopped apple and banana, cream cheese and Innocent Hound venison sausages!
Cakes this delicious are made to be shared, so why not invite your fur-friends over to enjoy a piece of homemade cake. If there are any leftovers, (although we highly doubt there will be any!) just pop them in the freezer, to keep them fresh to enjoy again at a later date.
